Research Community Building

MONDAY, JANUARY 8, 2024 | 9AM-4:30PM | ALUMNI CENTER

Join NDSU research colleagues for a community building event as part of the Big Idea Research Initiatives for the 2023-24 year. This full-day event will provide the opportunity to connect and engage in creative discussions geared toward developing interdisciplinary research ideas around NDSU’s four strategic research priorities. The priorities are broadly defined and inclusive of most disciplines and work on campus, but if you aren’t sure whether your expertise would fit, or have other questions, email us at bigideas@vencorllc.com.
Note that participation is limited to faculty and full-time research staff.

Knowinnovation

Facilitated by Knowinnovation, Inc., the day-long event will be highly interactive and designed to foster cross-disciplinary discussions and collaborations. Knowinnovation specializes in working with science researchers and practitioners to accelerate scientific innovation and achieve actionable outcomes.

Spring 2024 NIH Grant Bootcamp

January 11th from 11:30 am-1:00 pm in Nueta, Memorial Union.

Join us on Thursday, January 11 for an Info-Sharing session about RCAs Planned NIH Grant Writing Seminar Series. This session will feature a brief presentation about the NIH Seminar Series followed by a 1 hour Lunch and Learn Networking session.

This session is targeted at new and junior faculty, but if you have never been funded by NIH and are interested in learning more you are welcomed to attend.

The NIH Grant Writing Seminar Series will invite applications from faculty (capped at 15) for a semester-long effort with the goal of submitting to a summer or fall NIH deadline. In particular, we will assist faculty efforts to pursue R03, R21, R15, or R01 (where appropriate) submissions.

In addition to this targeted NIH series we will be hosting a set of informal coffee-hours to explore collaborations, networking, mentoring, pre and post award support and non-NIH funding mechanisms.

If you have any questions, please contact ndsu.researchdev@vencorllc.com

To facillitate planning, please indicate if you're interested in attending this bootcamp.
